PRINTMAKING

Printmaking is a passion of mine and I use several processes in my work from lithography, intaglio hectograph and mono printing  by using linocuts, tetrapaks and gelli plates to achieve some of my outcomes.  There is nothing more exciting than  seeing  the final outcome of a print, once it has been through a press; the textures one can get, the unexpected marks that appear and the multiple layers of colour one is able to incorporate.   I find the practise of linocutting very therapeutic and you will often find me carving the next asset out of a soft linoleum block,  of which there can be multiple required, for the next final image or illustration.

In my digital work I use many of these assets and convert them to vectors which allows for tidying up unwanted marks and gives me the ability to scale up and carry out any editing of colour ways that I feel may be appropriate.
